TEDxUCLWomen is a movement celebrating the remarkable achievements of women at UCL and in the wider community, while looking at the barriers preventing women and girls worldwide from achieving their full potential.

Our movement began in December 2013 with the success of our inaugural event, ‘Women Unbound’.

In 2015, TEDxUCLWomen returned to stream 90 minutes of TEDWomen 2015, hosting an exciting programme of talks from local actors, creating a TEDx Experience Space and launching our magazine. We are not only creating a platform to address pressing issues regarding women, but building a community whose ideas and enthusiasm is attracting attention locally and globally.

We are creating Momentum:
Moving forward. Gaining speed. Building traction.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxUCLWomen, where x = independently organised TED event. At our TEDxUCLWomen event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
